After all, the weather conditions are not pleasant, and the mood can feel off. By the way, its weekend, which means that the whole working week has passed and it’s time to make a real SPA at home to relieve stress. So today I’ll share with you some tremendous benefits, refreshing and soothing bath and body recipes which are suggested by the salon and spa Fredericton.
Bath with Essential Oil
Essential oils are effectively used to make stronger the cell membranes to speed up metabolism and increase skin rejuvenation. They also have many other benefits for your skin; it depends on which oil you choose. For an extra benefit, I mix olive oil with essential oils, which makes my skin feel gentle and soft.
Procedure: Mix essential oils with 250ml olive oil, or add them to a bath on their own. Process time: about 25 minutes.
Here are some thoughts on essential oil mixtures:
For Soothing: 3 drops bergamot, 3 drops cedar wood, 5 drops lavender
For Energizing: 3 drops lemon or orange, 4 drops rosemary, 3 drops frankincense
To fight cellulite: 3 drops lemon, 5 drops rosemary, 8 drops thyme.
For Cold: 8 drops rosemary, 8 drops lavender,
Cleopatra’s Bath
Cleopatra was well-known for her lovely skin. You perhaps heard that her secret was that she soaked in baths of pure milk. Vibrant spa expert says we can’t be sure if Cleopatra was really pampering herself in milk. However, a milk bath is indeed beneficial.
The reason that this kind of bath is so useful is the natural chemical (lactic acid) in milk is an alpha hydroxy acid. This is a natural material that melts the glue that holds dead skin cells together. Milk can clean the skin down to its genuine layers.
Procedure: For the bath, heat one and a half-liter of milk. Be sure to look out, so it doesn’t boil. You can use milk on its own. Or you can put 125 grams of honey in the milk and mix it all. Honey, on its own, has outstanding moderating characteristics for the skin. Plus, it will lessen the smell of the milk.
Pour a combination of milk and honey (or just milk) in a water bath. Process time: about 20 minutes. Rinse your body thoroughly after soaking.
Benefits: Tremendously soft skin! However, you can experience the nasty smell of milk if you do not wash off properly.
Bath with Sea Salt
It contains the complete range of minerals essential for a helpful and therapeutic effect on the body. It offers it a pleasing feeling of freshness and comfort. Sea salt relieves tiredness, improves skin condition and calm nerves making skin smoother and more elastic. It also has an anti-inflammatory result, increasing the movement of tissues and organs and releasing toxins.
Here are spa Fredericton expert instructions:
Procedure: Pour 250 g of organic sea salt into the water. This process should last for 30 minutes. The water temperature can be about 35-37C.
Benefits: After the bath, your skin becomes very soft and smooth. Maybe it will sound strange, but every time I feel like my skin is breathing after the bath.
Bath with Rosewater
I could express rose water benefits for hours. So it is quite guessable that this is one of my favorite bath and body recipes.
Procedure: Pour 2liter of water to a pot. Put in it about 100 grams of fresh or dried rose petals, as well as dry rosemary leaves, to smooth the skin, and lavender flowers, for a soothing effect. Boil on a very low heat for about 10 minutes, after cooling this combination down, strain and pour into the bath. Soak in a bath for 30 minutes. Without rinsing, dry your skin with a towel.
Benefits: Beautiful smelling skin. I feel a little contraction effect after bathing with rose water, so I always apply moisturizer cream. However, even without applying it, you can feel the softness and smoothness of your skin.
