Charisma Carpenter is an American television and film actress. She is best known for her part in the popular supernatural play TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff, Angel. She played the character of Cordelia Chase, a popular high-school cheerleader. Carpenter has starred in several other TV series, including Charmed and Veronica Mars. Charisma Carpenter was born on July 23, 1970, in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Her mother, Christine Carpenter, worked at a bird sanctuary. When she was nine years older, she combined a dance troupe that performed from the city. She also spent her freshman year of high school at the Bishop Gorman Prep School.
