Kristi Noem, an American politician, is currently the 33rd governor of South Dakota. From 2011 to 2019, she was the U.S. Representative in South Dakota’s large congressional district. Kristi was the fourth woman to represent South Dakota in Congress. Kristi and freshman senator Tim Scott, both from South Carolina, were elected by the House Republican 87-member freshman group as liaisons to Congress. This made Kristi the second woman member of the House GOP leadership.
